A Paducah man was arrested on arson charges concerning two fires at the same house on North 13th Street.

On Thursday morning, officers and firefighters responded to a structure fire at the residence. The fire was extinguished, and first responders cleared the scene. As detectives investigated, 46-year-old William Porter was identified as the suspect.

At about 6 p.m. the same day, firefighters were dispatched back to the same residence to deal with a second structure fire. Detectives said they determined that it was once again Porter who intentionally set the second fire.

Porter was located and taken into custody without incident. He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
