Boat in distress retrieved by Crittenden rescue squad

The Crittenden County Rescue Squad retrieved a boat in distress Friday afternoon on the Tradewater River.

The rescue squad was notified about the boat with motor failure, and a female passenger that had fallen into the river. The Crittenden County crew responded with the Union County Rescue Squad to the old VFW boat ramp on the county line.

The boat was located about a mile downstream from the boat ramp. The boat and its occupants were brought back to the ramp.  

The individual who fell into the water was treated and released.
