The discovery was made after Noon near Livingston County Middle School and North Livingston Elementary. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office said they were called and responded to secure the scene. Kentucky State Police were then called in to handle the investigation. Troopers are looking into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
Meanwhile, Livingston County Schools Superintendent Amy Ramage confirmed to West Kentucky Star that the individual was not an employee or student of the school system. A statement released by the district said they would not have further comment out of respect for the investigation and others involved.
Kentucky State Police said the identity of the man would be released after notification of family members. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
