Caldwell Fiscal Court approves purchase of new fire pumper and tanker truck

During a special called meeting this week, the Caldwell Fiscal Court approved a purchase order for a new fire tanker and pumper truck.

Judge Executive Kota Young told the court the cost to get the new truck is more than $1.2 million and it is expected to be delivered by the end of the next fiscal year.

The new truck will replace a 26-year-old tanker that will be transferred to the Fredonia Fire Department.

WPKY reported court members approved an interlocal agreement for cooperative purchasing as part of the process to get the new truck.
