Calloway pursuit ends in arrest of Murray man

A pursuit in Calloway County Monday night resulted in the arrest of a Murray man on numerous charges.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, deputies observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on KY 94 at approximately 10:30 pm. As they attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver turned off the headlights of the vehicle and accelerated.

The vehicle then turned onto Pottertown Road and came to an abrupt stop at Cahoon Road, where the driver was taken into custody.

The driver was identified as 23-year-old Elijah A. McKeel. He was taken to the Calloway County Detention Center, charged with fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, and various traffic violations.
