Fort Campbell will be conducting a post-wide, multi-agency force protection training exercise on the installation this week from Tuesday through Friday.

Fort Campbell conducts annual full-scale exercises designed to test the installation’s emergency preparedness and response to various scenarios.

This includes simulated gunfire, small explosive sounds, emergency notification loudspeaker announcements, training smoke, increased emergency response by ground and air vehicles over Fort Campbell.

The simulated gunfire and explosives will use blanks and pose no safety risk. Advanced coordination has taken place with local law enforcement and first responders.

You may also see or hear increased security and first responder activities around the perimeter of the base that will be associated with the exercise.
