City of Benton sets fireworks limit for Fourth of July

The City of Benton has announced fireworks limits for celebrating the Fourth of July.

The City said in a Facebook post that those in city limits can only shoot fireworks on Saturday June 28th, July 4th and Saturday July 5th from 6pm to 10pm.

Other than these dates and times, the City said it is unlawful to explode, fire, shoot or set off fireworks inside the corporate city limits.

They said the restrictions are due to so many sick and elderly folks, terrified pets and PTSD.
