On Monday, South 5th Street will be closed between Washington and Clark streets in front of Paducah City Hall as crews paint a commemorative veterans crosswalk connecting City Hall to Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza.

The red, white, and blue crosswalk will feature “Gone But Not Forgotten” and an image of a kneeling soldier to honor the service and sacrifice of local veterans.

The closure will be in place Monday from 7:30 until 4:30. City Hall visitors can park on Washington or Clark streets or in the public lot on Clark Street.

An interpretive panel for the crosswalk will be unveiled at the Veterans Day opening ceremony on November 11 at 10 a.m. prior to the parade at 11 a.m.
