An escapee from a work release program in Marshall County was recaptured in Murray.

The Marshall County Detention Center called Kentucky State Police after Jonathon S. Madole walked away from his work detail at the Marshall County Animal Shelter.  Madole left the shelter between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Wednesday. It was determined that Madole had been picked up by a 17-year-old female.

By 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, KSP had caught up to the pair in Murray. Madole was additionally charged with escape and unlawful transaction with a minor. Troopers said the girl was also cited for complicity to escape.

Madole was transported back to the Marshall County Detention Center.
