Warmer temperatures are finally in sight this week, but they'll still be slightly colder than average overall.
Light snow chances have increased for this evening. Snow amounts ranging from a dusting to less than half an inch are possible. Travel impacts should remain minimal.
Our bitter cold temperatures will moderate early in the week with highs reaching above freezing Monday and Tuesday. Some areas of western Kentucky and southeast Missouri may reach 40 degrees.
Some light precipitation, in the form of rain or snow, remains possible Tuesday. The highest chances of receiving any measurable snow will be around Evansville.
Despite some days in the 40s this week, even near 50 on Friday, we'll still be colder than normal on average. Normal highs are in the mid 40s with normal lows in the mid to upper 20s.
