Flash flood warnings are currently in effect for McCracken and Marshall Counties this morning.
The flash flood warning for Marshall County is in effect until 8:15 am. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen as thunderstorms are passing through.
Locations that will experience flash flooding include Benton, Calvert City, Hardin, Brewers and Aurora.
Another flash flood warning is in effect until 9:15 this morning for McCracken County.
Heavy rain there has ended but rainfall totals were high
enough that areas of flooding are likely across the county early this morning.
Prepare for flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Paducah, Lone Oak, Reidland, West Paducah and Barkley Regional Airport.
Otherwise, a flood watch is in effect until 7am for much of the area.
