Groundbreaking ceremony set for new Livingston Hospital

You’re invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for the new hospital under construction in Salem.

The expansion of facilities at Livingston Hospital will take place on Thursday, April 23 at 5 p.m.

Early-stage dirt work is already underway as construction began in March on the facility’s $78 million modernization and expansion project.

Funding was approved last November by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development arm for the 71-year-old hospital.

Construction will include a new lobby, a new lab, radiology, surgery, endoscopy, and emergency department in the new building. Six-thousand square feet of the old building will also be renovated.
