Traffic delays will be in place on US 62/Cumberland River Bridge Wednesday

Motorists travelling on US 62 Wednesday morning should prepare for brief delays at Barkley Dam.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet said they are planning a daytime lane restriction on US 62/Cumberland River Bridge or the "Blue Bridge". 

They will conduct a routine inspection at Livingston-Lyon County line just below Barkley Dam at Lake City.

The inspection is expected to last about three hours. Flaggers and signs will guide traffic through one open lane.

Officials ask motorists to stay alert and use extra caution when passing workers and equipment along the roadway.
