Hard freeze possible this weekend

Another mild day is in store today with sunshine and highs in the mid 60s.

A cold front tonight brings some of the coolest temperatures we've seen this fall. Highs in the 50s are forecast for this weekend, and lows will be in the low to mid 30s.

A hard freeze is possible in spots this weekend.

This is right on schedule for Paducah's average first hard freeze date of Nov. 7. Our earliest hard freeze occurred on October 8, 1987, and our latest hard freeze was December 4, 1978.

Dry conditions will persist for the next several days with a warmup back to the 60s Monday through midweek.
