LBL's Elk and Bison Prairie to celebrate 30th anniversary

The Land Between the Lakes will celebrate the Elk and Bison Prairie 30th anniversary with a special event on Saturday, November 14th.

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes will host the Elk & Bison Prairie Celebration from noon until 5:00 pm at the Golden Pond Visitor Center. This free event will feature educational presentations on the prairie’s history and science, opportunities to meet native wildlife, family-friendly crafts, and other activities.

Visitors can also enjoy free, all-day admission to the Elk and Bison Prairie, along with a scavenger hunt, door prizes, a silent auction, and a food truck.

There will be free naturalist-led van tours of the prairie that will depart from the visitor center every hour from noon until 4:00 pm. Space is limited and registration will be available at the front desk of the visitor center upon arrival.

The Golden Pond Visitor Center is located at 238 Visitor Center Drive in Golden Pond. More information can be found at the Land Between the Lakes website.
