A Hopkinsville man has been charged in a Princeton barcode swapping case.
Princeton Police said a man, later identified as 36-year-old Tailer Smith of Hopkinsville, went into a store and changed the barcodes on items he would later purchase at much less than retail price. Smith is now facing third-degree burglary charges over thefts totaling just less than $200.
Smith was arrested in Hopkinsville and taken to the Caldwell County Jail.
