A West Padicah woman and her one year old son were treated for minor injuries following a Thursday afternoon traffic accident in Graves County.

The Graves County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene in the 700 block of KY 1748 West around 3:30 pm.  Investigators found an overturned vehicle with the driver, 24-year-old Jessica Kelley and her one year old son Hudson still in the vehicle.

Kelley hit a patch of ice and snow, dropped off the right shoulder and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to overturn, coming to rest on its top.

Kelley was still secured by her seat belt in the driver's seat of the car when first responders arrived. She was freed from the vehicle by the Mayfield Fire Department. Hudson was properly secured in a child safety seat and was removed from the vehicle as first responders arrived.

Both were taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
