An Indiana man has been arrested in Illinois in connection with a bank fraud case out of Christian County.
Oak Grove Police said that they believe 55-year-old Wendall Christmas of Merrillville, Indiana, helped coordinate a group that stole identities and scammed victims out of money. One of those victims was in Oak Grove. Investigators said that Christmas and another individual worked together to steal over $25,000 out of the victims account at Oak Grove Navy Federal Credit Union.
Christmas was arrested by police in Orland Park, Illinois, and will be extradited back to Kentucky to face the charges of theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and unlawful access to a computer.
