Indictments have been handed down against two Livingston County men after an investigation into a stolen golf cart and drugs.

In April, a resident of Grand Rivers called the Livingston County Sheriff's Office after a golf cart was reportedly stolen from their home. Deputies launched what turned out to be an extensive investigation that resulted in the recovery of the cart.

After the case was presented by a deputy, the Livingston County Grand Jury handed down the indictments against two men allegedly involved in the theft, 21-year-old Jason Reed of Paducah and 62-year-old Richard Watkins of Grand Rivers. Both were charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000.

The indictments led the Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole, along with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office to conduct a visit on Tuesday at Watkins' home. Law enforcement is said to have located methamphetamine in the residence.

Watkins is now facing additional charges of methamphetamine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
