The City of Paducah's Independence Day Celebration is all set for Friday, July 4th on the riverfront.

The City announced that food vendors will start serving by 5:30pm along Jefferson Street between Water Street and 2nd Street. 

There will also be musical entertainment beginning at 5:30pm on Wilson Stage at the foot of Broadway.

Paducah's Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by Ingram Barge Company and Pine Bluff Materials, will be Friday, July 4 on the riverfront in historic downtown Paducah. Food vendors will start serving by 5:30 p.m. They will be along Jefferson Street between Water Street and 2nd Street. Musical entertainment also starts at that time on Wilson Stage at the foot of Broadway.

As for the fireworks show that is scheduled for 9:15pm.

The City said in case a thunderstorm is in the area at the scheduled time for the fireworks, the fireworks show will be delayed until the weather clears or rescheduled for July 5.

The City also said there will be changes to several City services.

City Hall and the Compost Facility will be closed that day. Public Works will not be collecting garbage, Friday's routes will be collected July 7.

The Noble Park Pool will be open on the 4th from noon until 7pm.
