Joppa man arrested after refusing to leave Metropolis motel

A Joppa, IL man was arrested last Thursday after refusing to leave a motel in Metropolis.

Metropolis police said 42-year-old Dwane J. Dillon refused to leave the Super 8 after check out time.

A computer check revealed Dillon was wanted on a warrant issued by Massac County for burglary. 

Investigation revealed that he was in possession of methamphetamine and more than 10 but less than 30 grams of cannabis. 

Dillon was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
