Six western Kentucky law enforcement officers were among 30 from agencies throughout the Bluegrass State that recently graduated from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice's basic training academy.
Paducah Police Department graduates include Allison B. Adams, Steven D. Leady Jr., Bryce A. Mansfield, and Tyree M-T Owens. The McCracken County Sheriff's Department has one member of the graduating class: Travis M. Bradley. The Murray Police Department also has one graduate: Jacob K. Kramer.
Graduates of Class No. 537 underwent more than 800 hours of recruit-level instruction through the course of 20 weeks. Major areas of study included patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, criminal law, traffic and DUI, firearms, criminal investigations, and tactical responses to crises.
The 30 graduates join 1,115 other Kentuckians who have completed basic training since December 2019.
