Kuttawa woman arrested on theft charges

A Kuttawa woman was arrested on Thursday on theft charges out of Marshall County.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office served the warrant at the home of 50-year-old Kathy L. Kingston in Kuttawa. The arrest stemmed from a series of incidents over a nearly three-month period. According to Benton Police, from March to May of 2026, Kingston is accused of taking $3,089.34 worth of items from the Wal-Mart location on 5th Street in Benton.  She faces charges of theft by unlawful taking less than $10,000.

Kingston was released after posting bond.
