A Lyon County teen and a Caldwell County teen have been arrested and are facing charges stemming from a residential burglary.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating the burglary that took place back on October 6th along KY 818 near the Lyon/Caldwell County line. The investigation identified two 16-year-old males in connection to the case.

Last Monday afternoon Lyon County Sheriff Brent White arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile in Princeton as a part of the investigation. Then on Wednesday morning, the School Resource Officer at Lyon County High School detained, then turned over another 16-year-old student from Kuttawa to Sheriff White. Both of the 16-year-old males are charged with complicity to burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and criminal mischief in addition to criminal trespass.

An ATV, a handgun, a shotgun, and what were described as clothing accessories were among the items taken in the case. All of those items have been recovered.

The case is still under investigation and additional charges could be filed. The male suspects are being held in the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
