Man pulled from pond behind Sam's Club after boat flips over

A man was pulled from the water and given life-saving measures after his small boat flipped over in a pond behind Sam's Club in McCracken County on Sunday.

A witness first saw the boat floating upside down in the pond around 2:10 p.m. The man's vehicle was parked on the access road off of Nace Lane, but the man was not seen in the area.

McCracken County sheriff's deputies and the Concord Fire Department arrived and pulled the man from the water. Life-saving measures were performed while deputies escorted him to a local hospital where treatment continued.

No word on the victim's condition has been released.
