Above normal temperatures began today and it looks like they'll be here for a while. The entire region will spend the middle of the week in the 70s, and we're likely to see some 80s over western Kentucky on Friday.
An unsettled pattern this week will also bring near daily chances for rain. Chances for 3 or more inches of rain over the next week are trending lower. The highest chances are north of a line from Carbondale to Evansville.
A couple of days this week could have some severe potential. Right now Wednesday is in a marginal risk mainly for the afternoon hours. Saturday is very undefined so far, but could also see some severe storms.
