Mayfield police investigate circumstances of man who died of knife injury

Mayfield Police are investigating the death of a man after what is described as an “accidental knife injury.”

Detectives said they responded to South 14th Street at 11:45 p.m. on Monday.

When officers arrived, they found the man, who they identified as 42-year-old Arthur Eaton of Mayfield.

Eaton was transported to the hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. 

The death remains under investigation.
