Mayfield woman injured in single-car crash

A Mayfield woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to State Route 80 West just east of Fancy Farm.

Their investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 81-year-old Elizabeth Ann Smithson traveled off the roadway, entered the ditch and collided with a tree.

Smithson was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment.
