McCracken deputies say Flock camera helped them locate vehicle stolen from Metropolis

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office said the Flock camera system helped them recover a stolen vehicle and arrest a Metropolis woman on Thursday afternoon.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were patrolling near Kentucky Oaks Mall when a deputy received a Flock notification that a stolen vehicle was traveling on Hinkleville Road.

The vehicle pulled into a department store parking lot and a traffic stop was conducted.

Deputies said three people were inside the vehicle, which was reported stolen out of Metropolis.

The sheriff’s office identified the driver as 19-year-old Janiyah McCray of Metropolis. McCray is charged with receiving stolen property, failure to have a license in possession and failure to produce an insurance card.

The two other people in the vehicle were released.
