A McCracken County woman has been charged in a hydrocodone trafficking case.

McCracken County Sheriff’s detectives arrested 40-year-old Kim Watson on Friday after a month-long investigation. That day, detectives made an undercover buy of a quantity of hydrocodone, allegedly from Watson. The purchase took place in the parking lot of a business on Clint Hill Boulevard, and Watson was arrested immediately after. Watson was searched after her arrest, and there were said to be another 56 doses of hydrocodone in her purse.

Additionally, detectives said Watson did not have a valid prescription for the drug.

Watson was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

The Sheriff’s Office said they are continuing to investigate.
