MegaFit Meals expands in Calvert City with additional $9 million investment

MegaFit Meals is expanding its operations in Calvert City.

MegaFit Meals is a specialty meal prep company, certified by the USDA, that packages fresh, healthy meals and ships them from Marshall County all over the country. The expansion will reportedly include a new 40,000-square-foot facility to manufacture the meals. The new location will also be in Calvert City and represent a $9.25 million investment along with the creation of 40 new jobs.

Marshall County Judge-Executive Kevin Spraggs added, “MegaFit Meals’ expansion is a tremendous investment in the future of Marshall County. Their decision to expand here and create 40 new jobs is a reflection of the strength of our workforce and the opportunities available to businesses that choose to grow here. We have created an atmosphere where businesses can grow and want to stay located here. We appreciate MegaFit Meals’ continued commitment to Marshall County and are proud to see a homegrown company creating jobs and making a positive impact in our community.”

The Marshall County-founded and locally headquartered company has become a multimillion-dollar business. The company, founded in 2015, originally prepared the meals for sale in local fitness centers. The current facility in Calvert City employs over 100 people.
