A Metropolis man was arrested last week and charged with drug and traffic offenses.

Metropolis Police stopped the reportedly speeding vehicle of 41-year-old Dustin Babb. Babb, from Metropolis, was allegedly clocked at 44 in a 35mph zone along 12th Street. Eventually, Babb stopped for police on 5th Street at the Phillips 66. A police K9 walked around the vehicle and is said to have alerted to the possible presence of drugs.
