The search is ongoing for a new Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Murray State University.
The Murray Ledger and Times reported Monday during a special call Board of Regents meeting Friday, Murray State president Dr. Ron Patterson indicated the firm of Greenwood, Asher and Associates is moving forward with the search.
Patterson said the search committee is continuing to review candidates on a condensed timeline and candidates will be recruited through Feburary 9th. He added that it was hopeful the search would be completed by early March with a hire to be named by mid March.
Last month, Dr. Rose Marie Ward had been chosen as the new Provost, but declined the school's offer.
Murray State has been searching for a new Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs since Dr. Tim Todd's departure in November. He filed a lawsuit against the school in regards to his employment.
