Missouri man charged with trafficking following stop

A Missouri man is facing a trafficking charge after a stop in McCracken County.

The stop happened early Sunday morning along US 45. McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies identified the passenger in the vehicle as 28-year-old Dantarius Sharpe of Charleston, Missouri. Sharpe was subjected to a probable cause search, and he was allegedly found with a bag in his pocket with a “white substance” inside. Contained in the bag were 25 small bags with what was believed to be cocaine.

Sharpe was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine. He was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
