Murray State University will host three finalists for the vacant position of Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs next week.

According to a campus wide email sent out Friday, the finalists will meet with campus members and the public beginning Monday at Wrather Hall's Auditorium.

The first of the finalists to participate in the town hall meetings is:  Dr. Aimee Shouse, currently the Associate Provost and Associate Vice President for Curriculum and Faculty Affairs and Dean of Faculty Administration at Tarleton State University.  The meeting begins at 2:30 pm.

On Tuesday at 2:30 pm, the second finalist will meet with those in attendance.  He is Dr. Brian Parr, current dean of Murray State’s Hutson School of Agriculture.

On Wednesday at 2:30 pm,  Dr. Paul Twigg, Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nebraska at Kearny will participate in a town hall meeting.

The school had named a provost back in December, but the person chosen declined to take the position.  The school has been searching for a replacement for Dr. Tim Todd, who resigned from the position last November.
