Projects in McCracken County funded in House Bill 502 include $23.1 million toward work along I-24 related to the I-24 Ohio River Bridge, $7.5 million for the extension of Nort Friendship Road, $5.5 million for reworking Alben Barkley Drive between Lone Oak Road and I-24, among others.
The road plan is a series of major investments designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and support long-term growth throughout the region.
Projects in Marshall County include:
- $7.5 million for construction to improve access and reduce congestion along US Highway 62 from KY Highway 95 to the existing four-lane near the I-24 interchange and future I-69 connection,
- $8.75 million for pavement and condition improvements along Interstate 69, enhancing safety and reliability along a critical regional corridor,
- $1.5 million for design work to correct geometric deficiencies and improve safety along US Highway 641 in the Draffenville area, and
- $1.53 million for bridge replacement on KY Highway 795 at Chestnut Creek.
- $23.1 million for construction of a bridge project on Interstate 24 over the Ohio River,
- $7.5 million to extend KY Highway 1286, improving connectivity and supporting future development,
- $5.5 million for right-of-way acquisition to improve safety and reduce congestion along US Highway 62 from US 45 to Interstate 24,
- $3.5 million for bridge replacement on KY Highway 3520 at the P&L Railway,
- $2.25 million for construction to improve traffic flow and safety along US Highway 60,
- $2.16 million for improvements along KY Highway 1286 between Perkins Creek Bridge and KY Highway 998, and
- $1.38 million for planning and engineering related to the future expansion or replacement of the I-24 Ohio River Bridge.
