Two men arrested in connection with a carjacking Sunday night in Christian County have added additional charges placed against them.
WKDZ reported the Christian County Sheriff's Office as saying 30-year-old Elijah Boodoosingh of Hopkinsville now faces charges of carjacking and robbery in addition to a multiude of charges made by Kentucky State Police Sunday night including second degree escape after he walked away from a Christian County Jail work detail within the city limits of Hopkinsville.
39-year-old James Stull of Covington was also in the work detail and faces the carjacking and robbery charges while 41-year-old Caitlyn Burchett of Louisville has not been charged.
The incident occured Sunday night when a man was reportedly taking the three to Cincinnati when they stopped at a store in Crofton to get money.
Investigators said the man was assaulted and his car was stolen. The car proceeded toward Nortonville and was then soon stopped on Western Kentucky Parkway after the vehicle crashed near the 108 mile marker.
