Nighttime road work continues this week on I-24 in Lyon County

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is continuing night time paving this week on I-24 between the Cumberland River Bridge and Exit 45 at KY 293 in Lyon County.

Workers are working in the eastbound lanes from 6 pm until 6 am with intermittent ramp closures possible when crews are paving in the adjacent right-hand lane. The closures should last about 1 hour, with personnel onsite to notify drivers.

Work in the westbound lanes could begin as early as Wednesday night. 

The project is part of a larger micro-surfacing project along I-24 and I-69, set to wrap up by September 30.
