Gunshots were reportedly fired and one man was arrested during an incident Thursday in Lyon County.

Lyon County Sheriff’s officers said they were called to a location south of Eddyville on KY 274. While they were en route to the location, dispatch received another call reporting that shots were fired.

Deputies said when they arrived, they learned there was a dispute between a property owner and a contractor, which led to a small physical fight.

During that time, the sheriff’s office said the son of the property owner, 25-year-old Jacob C. Triska, allegedly ran to a nearby home and retrieved a handgun. He returned and allegedly fired two shots at the contractor.

The sheriff’s office said the contractor was not hit by any bullets, but he was injured while trying to retreat from the shooting.

Triska was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment by discharge of a firearm. He was taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center.
