Two people were arrested and a third is sought after a shoplifting call and a pursuit in Mayfield on Thursday.

Mayfield Police responded to a local business for a report of three shoplifters who had left in a dark colored pickup truck.  The vehicle was spotted by Officers near Charles Drive, but the vehicle fled the area.  

It was located on Mason Street parked without any occupants inside.  After Officers received photos of the suspects from the business, two of them were seen walking. Officers approached the suspects near Hillcrest Drive, where they fled on foot.   

Police apprehended 24-year-old Freddy Perry of Madison, TN.  A second suspect fled into the nearby tree line, and officers deployed a drone to apprehend 25-year-old Marquie Crowell of Hopkinsville.  

The vehicle was seized, and officers located stolen merchandise from multiple businesses along with illegal drugs. 

Perry and Crowell were taken to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center on the charges of engaging in organized crime, theft by unlawful taking, fleeing or evading police and possession of marijuana.

A third suspect has been identified as the investigation continues.
