Detours will be in place and multiple contractors will be working overnights this week on I-24 between the Calvert City and Grand Rivers exits.
KYTC posted that the projects will reinforce shoulders and upgrade guardrails on bridges between the I-24 Exit 27 interchange at US 62 and the I-24 Tennessee River Bridge at the Marshall-Livingston county line.
Detours will be in place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. nightly.
Eastbound detours are scheduled from Monday to Friday to allow crews to begin milling and paving within the work zone.
Meanwhile, westbound detours will be added Wednesday and Thursday nights so crews can pour concrete near the Tennessee River Bridge.
More westbound concrete pours will continue next week, Aug. 24-26.
Extra law enforcement and flaggers will be in the work zones, along with a reduced 55 mph speed limit.
