Road construction work along I-24 in Marshall County is scheduled to begin Monday night.

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to implement overnight lane restrictions and intermittent rolling roadblocks Monday night, along two sections of I-24 and I-69 in Marshall County to facilitate roadway equipment installation.

The work zone locations and current schedule are as follows:

June 29 & 30: I-24 near mile point 19, east of Exit 16. It will impact eastbound traffic on Monday, and westbound traffic on Tuesday.

July 1 & 2: I-69 near mile point 50, south of Exit 51. It will impact northbound traffic on Wednesday, and southbound traffic on Thursday.

The work is scheduled to take place nightly between 7 p.m. and 4 a.m., weather permitting.

Motorists should be prepared for one-lane traffic in the work zone and possible delays.

Law enforcement will be on-site to assist with traffic control during intermittent rolling roadblocks, when slowed or stopped traffic is likely.

Please use caution in the work zone.
