Paducah Main Street names new executive team

Paducah Main Street has named its new executive team — Blaine McDonald and Carly Dick.

McDonald joins as Executive Director, Dick joins as Assistant Executive Director. 

Earlier this month the City of Paducah signed a contract with Paducah Downtown Development Inc. to operate a nonprofit Paducah Main Street organization. City funding will be phased out over a five-year contract.

Main Street had been functioning under the city’s planning department since 2008, but started the process to transition to a nonprofit last fall.

Paducah Main Street will work with the city to promote economic development, historic preservation, and monetary investment for downtown Paducah. 

They will maintain a current list of available downtown properties and promote them through its website and other platforms. The organization will also work to increase participation in downtown promotions and events.
