A Paducah man is facing charges in Metropolis after an alleged hit-and-run crash.
Metropolis Police were called to the parking lot of the Thrive Dispensary after a patron said their vehicle had been struck by another, with the other driver leaving the scene and heading south on US 45 toward Brookport. A Massac County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the vehicle, driven by 61-year-old Steven L. Davis of Paducah. While the deputy was attempting to stop Davis, he allegedly hit his cruiser, as well.
The deputy said that Davis showed “signs of impairment.” He was taken to Massac Memorial Hospital for a blood test and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
Davis was released on a notice to appear.
