Southern Living magazine ranked Paducah in the top 7 Christmas towns in Kentucky to visit this season.
The publication said the listed towns aren't shy when showing their holiday spirit. They wrote it should be no surprise the most magical holiday experiences are tucked away in Kentucky's towns, from town squares dressed to the holiday nines, and restaurants with "merry, seasonal menus."
Paducah topped the list, with the author mentioning how small businesses provide large amounts of holiday magic.
Downtown's Johnson Bar was highlighted, with last year's "Home Alone" theme. In addition, Pipers was mentioned with its 12 Days of Pipers Hot Chocolate.
The magazine also noted the Paducah Symphony Orchestra's "A Christmas Celebration" concert, and the Market House Theatre's annual Christmas-themed production.
Last, but certainly not least, Santa received a shout-out for Paducah Power's annual Christmas in the Park light display and food drive at Noble Park.
Other Kentucky towns that made the list include London, Georgetown, Bardstown, Harrodsburg and Shaker Village, Madisonville, and the towns of northern Kentucky.
