No one was injured when a small plane made an emergency landing in Dawson Springs on Tuesday night.
WKDZ reported Hopkins County Sheriff's deputies were called around 10:30 pm to Industrial Park Road after receiving a report that a plane had crash landed near the road. The plane's two occupants walked out of the plane after the landing.
Investigators said the pilot told them the plane had an engine failure during the flight. The pilot reportedly tried to land the plane at the Dawson Springs airport. However, there were no lights on the grass strip runway and the pilot then attempted an emergency landing on Industrial Park Road.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
