Princeton man charged with theft and trespassing in Kuttawa burglary

A Princeton man was charged Thursday with theft and trespassing in a Kuttawa burglary.

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called at approximately 11:40 am to a burglary in progress of a closed business on Lakeshore Drive.

At the scene, deputies did not initially locate anyone, but after viewing video surveillance footage, was able to identify 57-year-old Dwight S. Smith.

Smith was later located and he reportedly admitted to stealing items from the property. He was charged with criminal trespassing and theft by unlawful taking.
