Princeton man jailed on murder charges

A Princeton man is dead and another jailed on murder charges after a shooting early Thursday morning.

WPKY reported the shooting occured in the 300 block of Beverly Drive around 2:40 am.  Princeton Police found 34-year-old Jerrod Cooper who was wounded from the shooting. 

He was taken to the Caldwell Medical Center, then to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries at 10:15 am.

Police searched for the suspect, 20-year-old Hector Miguel Pena, also of Princeton.  He later turned himself in and was charged with murder.
