Second public meeting held to discuss Rebuild Mayfield Project plans

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet held their second informational meeting on Tuesday at the Graves County Public Library to update the public on planned improvements for the Rebuild Mayfield Project. 

At the meeting KYTC displayed the preferred alternative which was chosen following feedback from the first public meeting in April of 2025.

Attendees were able to speak with project team members and ask questions. 

Comment sheets were available during the meeting and can also be submitted by email before Sept. 30 to become part of the official meeting record.

The project is currently in the right of way acquisition phase. Utility relocation is expected to begin in 2027, with construction estimated to start in 2028.
