A search warrant executed at a residence in Lyon County landed a Kuttawa man in jail.

Lyon County Sheriff’s deputies, along with Eddyville Police, Kentucky State Police, and the Western Kentucky Violent Crime Task Force, went to a home on Green Road Saturday as they continue to investigate a recent burglary. They said evidence associated with the case was recovered. They also reportedly located a firearm. The resident, 36-year-old Justin A. Mayhugh of Kuttawa, is not allowed to possess a firearm after a previous felony conviction.

Mayhugh was arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Charges in the other case are still pending. That investigation remains open.
